This Sunday we celebrate World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly. ⚜️ Every year, World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly is held on the weekend closest to the feast of Ss. Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus. Instituted by Pope Francis in 2021, it’s a day when the universal Church honors grandparents as a vital bridge between generations and reflects on figures in Scripture like Simeon, Abraham and Sarah, who were called in their old age.
Attention parents — Faith Formation registration is open! Sign up here, on the website, on the app, by QR code, or at the narthex TVs. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is offered. Ages 6–9 are full; Thursday evening sacrament class available.
The Annulment event is at OLMC and hosted by Karen Shepard, Nullity Minister, Diocesan Advocate and Volunteer at the Diocese of Phoenix Office of Canonical Services and the Tribunal.
