Becoming Catholic – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
This weekend, on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, our Catechumens (those who need the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist) AND our Candidates (those who are already baptized but are seeking full communion in the church), will make their commitment to continue to learn about our Catholic faith and endeavor to come closer to Christ along their faith journey.
Please pray for these men and women, that they will strive to be followers of our Lord and join all of us in a life of prayer and service. During part of the Rite, Fr. Long and their sponsors will trace the Sign of the Cross on their foreheads and senses, that each person will hear the voice of the Lord, see the glory of God, respond to the word of God, have a heart filled with faith, bear the gentle yoke of Christ, help others through good works and walk in the way of Christ. We praise you and bless you, Lord!
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
We are seeking additional adorers to help sustain our parish’s Adoration schedule. If your heart has been nudging you toward a deeper closeness with the Lord, this may be His invitation. Even a single quiet hour in His presence can bring peace, healing, and strength to the soul. If you feel called to spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament—whether weekly, monthly, or as a substitute—please consider joining our Adoration family. Altar Servers Gathered
Last Sunday, November 16, seventeen altar servers gathered at the 11:00am Mass, not only to assist with the Mass but to pledge their continued commitment to serving “the Lord with joyful hearts, for His glory and the good of His Church”. Fr. Long offered a blessing for the servers and they, in turn, asked God to “enlighten our minds and strengthen our wills, so we me may carry out our duties at Your holy altar with dignity, devotion and joy”. A reception followed in the Hall. Many thanks to the servers, their parents and mentor Gil Olachea for their continued service.

How can we better serve one another and our wider community?
Below are the most common responses to
the 4th question that was asked in the survey:
- Create a mothers’ ministry that partners with a new daycare ministry, so that moms may be able to talk together, pray together, financially support other moms in need, and encourage one another to stand up for the unborn in all situations.
- Partner with St. Vincent de Paul, Aid to Women’s Center, and/or other similar organizations.
- Offer Bible and Catechism content so that study groups may be able to easily form.
- Pray during Mass for all the petitions written in the petition book.
This Monday, November 24th, is the Memorial of St. Andrew Dũng Lạc, Priest, and Companions, Martyrs. There will be a special Vietnamese Mass at 7:00pm. All are welcome to worship with our Thanh Linh Community at this special Mass.

Special thanks to everyone who brought photos of their loved ones for our November All Souls Day display. Please pick up your pictures in the parish office this week Monday 11/24 through Wednesday 11/26 between 9 and 5pm. The office is closed 11/27 through 11/30 reopening 12/1.
Giving Tree
Please take a moment to select an ornament from the Giving Tree located in the narthex of the church. We ask that you bring your unwrapped gifts to either the office during regular office hours or to the narthex of the church at any of our masses. Kindly return toys and gifts by Sunday, December 14th. Your gifts will sponsor many families in need from local organizations.
Blanket Drive
As the weather grows colder, we are collecting new and gently used blankets to help our brothers and sisters in need. Please bring any donations to the collection bins in the Narthex. Together, let’s share Christ’s warmth and love with those currently experiencing homelessness.

Winners: $50 Visa gift card winners will be announced at Las Posadas on Dec. 20.
Help beautify the Church during Christmas, donate to the Poinsettia Fund. Gifts of $30 per poinsettia, can be made for a living or deceased individual or even a special intention that you would like remembered during the Christmas season.

Las Posadas December 20th

Las Posadas begins in the courtyard where participants gather then partake in the Hispanic tradition following Joseph and Mary in a short procession through the neighborhood looking for a space for the birth of Christ.
They finally reach an inn that welcomes them inside, where all are greeted with excitement to a potluck fiesta in Hanley Hall with festive family fun for one and all.
